I'm trying to set up a youth recurve for some children. It is a Ben Pearson from the 1970's, rated for 20 lb @ 22". It needs a string and I have no idea what length. No markings on the bow indicate the string length. The bow is 48" long.

If I knew what the brace height should be on a youth bow, I can buy one the right length. Does anyone on here know what a normal youth bow brace height is? I'm assuming that its not 8" like mine. Any knowledge appreciated!

Get a 45" Dacron string and you can find the sweet spot from there. Brace height will be around 7" I would say

I don’t know where you are located, but if you bring it to the Tyler Roberts shoot next weekend I can build you a string.

Thank you, Grinder. I've already bought one based on Meatstick's suggestion. Thank you for the offer!
