Property owner claims this reduces property value by 7 million? Anyone know the logic here?
Because he says he owns the air above the corner. And if he doesn’t and people can cross via a ladder, he loses his control of a 100% landlocked piece of public land with no other easements. So basically, he’s saying he’s losing the value of the public land by it now actually being public.

Is he receiving royalties from planes flying over his property?….. I mean if he owns the air. 😂 Where do we get um? Dumbest thing I’ve ever heard of!

There is a huge value in being the gatekeeper to huge chunks of land. This just so happens to be everyone’s land, that they don’t want the public to access.

The fact that they value it at 7 million speaks wonders to these az hats trying to lock us out of our land.

I consider myself a little extreme in regards to property rights. (I think castle doctrine should apply to my entire property not just dwellings)
But The concept of using my property to control access to another is crazy. The nerve of this ranch owner is infuriating, Id like to see them run an easement through his property from the nearest road to allow easy public access.

I know a piece of public in ky that the public can’t access, small chunk but is surrounded by private. I guess the department may have a easement

Unless I misunderstand something there are several parcels here in the east that are landlocked
There is most certainly landlocked parcels that aren’t accessible. But that’s only because the landowners haven’t pushed for access. A judge will grant them access. Just cost money and takes time. In some cases I believe you may have to pay the landowner you cross a loss of value if the easement can negatively impact their value such as crossing directly thru the middle of theirs. If access to the land isn’t of value to the landowner, they won’t spend the money and effort to do so.

There's was 2 landlocked pieces behind me . I was told by a few different people that if they wanted access the owners would have to pay me per foot by court order to get access
