Who’s ready for Saturday?
post kill count, flush count
I don’t hunt them but they are here. Took my beagles out this evening to run a bit and jumped 8 different birds and a covey of young quail. This is in Pulaski.
I may get to turkey hunt this weekend if work doesn't interrupt. But I do intend to get in some walking before long.
Central Indiana Flushed two, shot at one, no birds on the ground.
Planning on chasing them this coming wkend. Work and the rain put a damper on Sat.
I went to check a deer camera Sunday afternoon so I loaded the dogs and a 20 ga O/U and walked the edges for a couple hours. No sightings.
Hunted twice last week, central Indiana. Flushed 6, 3 shots no birds, Flushed 12, 8 shots 2 birds on the ground. Hunted different areas so not sure if they were migrating birds or local.
What type of cover is everyone finding birds in I’m finding them in mixed pine thickets with openings that have weeds and other things but have hunted growing up clear cuts and not finding birds
Majority of birds have moved south. You will be lucky to find very many right now.
