Are there any streams, creeks or rivers in KY where they stock put and take trout?

there were several in GA including the Chattahoochee north of ATL.

I hope to get out Sunday but if the forecast holds true, water will be high and muddy

    thank you

  5. Yeah it’s suppose to light in to raining again in the early morning here and I spect the water is already up and muddy there to begin with. Surely they would cancel the stock if the water is raging?

Can catch rainbows below wolf creek dam most days if they aren’t releasing 50 million gallons. With the rain we have had though I’d say that is gonna be the case for a while.

Yes I’m sure stocking depends on having favorable conditions

There are several places stocked for put n take between Scottsville and Bowling Green. The Trammel Creek, Jennings Creek and Three Springs Lake all get trout but to my knowledge, none are cold enough to sustain them through the summer.

Let us know how it goes assuming water conditions improve. I assume you have the sportsman’s liscence but if not make sure you buy a trout stamp

There’s always the two Salato lakes in Frankfort starting in early March if you just want a few rainbows to eat. The trout get harder to catch in those lakes the warmer it gets.
