Winchester Longbeard turkey shells at Walmart

I saw some tss today and they were selling them for $14 per shell. Fox trot ammo that is. That is beyond crazy if u ask me.

Just ridiculous prices. Never thought I'd see it.

I've had nothing but good luck with Longbeard XR shells out of both 12 and 20 gauges. From first hand experience my little Remington 870 youth 20 gauge with Longbeard XR shells will roll them out to 40yds with ease!

I know a guy that loaded his sons shotgun with tss and that little boy unloaded 3 rounds at a bird missing each shot. Expensive plinking haha

Yeah man, that would get expensive lol. I don't have to worry about that anymore, my boys are 19 and 16, they're stone cold killers now. Have several under their belts for their age.

I loved the long beards but got a bad batch a few years ago that cost me a bird. Several of the shells patterned more like slugs but way off poa. Went back to the regular ol hi-velocity which is plenty for where I hunt.

Nope I started turkey hunting 40 years ago and killed them with regular old 6 shot heavy loads 2 3/4 inch shells. We don’t have to have a shell that shoots 70 yards to kill a bird.

Academy Sports had probably over 20 boxes of the Win XR. I picked up a box of 6s in 3 inch and 1 7/8 ounce.

I shoot the 3.5” in 6’s. Patterns better out of my gun. I wish the 3’s would.
I’m gonna look hopefully at uncle lees next weekend. I’ve got plenty but I’ll buy some more.

I topped at a Morristown Tn Walmart last week after seeing the first post here as I was passing through and they had 20 gauge in 3 in, 12 in 3 and 3.5 inches. they had a bunch of the 20s. bet they don't last long. had one box of 3 in and eight of 3.5. Sometimes when Walmarts get in unusual loads like turkey loads or steel shot it is a one time delivery to that store. I personally would get them while you can if that is what you want. The W store people have told me they have no choice in the shells that are delivered to them and cannot special order more. They just get what someone in the warehouse sends them. IDK if that is true.
