Got a box of Winchester Longbeard shells at Walmart. Had 3" 5s and 3.5" 4s at Florence store. Better get'em before their gone.

I bought some a few days ago. I’ve seen them out at 2 Walmarts, both only carried the same loads as you listed. 3” or 3.5” number 5s. Which luckily is what my 870 likes lol

Fox trot is the way to go. Pattern good. I loaded some last year myself using fox trot recipe.
As far as TSS Goes foxtrot is way to go.
Shooting lead Longbeards is way to go.

I loved the long beards but got a bad batch a few years ago that cost me a bird. Several of the shells patterned more like slugs but way off poa. Went back to the regular ol hi-velocity which is plenty for where I hunt.

I had a similar experience with the Longbeards. Opened the constriction with a different choke and it corrected my issue. But I have heard others complain about the resin aging. Not exactly sure of the science there.

I think it was a resin issue with me. It was cold that morning and my gun and shells had been in the truck overnight. I’m shooting .665 rem constriction so it’s tight but not crazy tight. Based on the hole surrounded by flyers it looked like the resin failed to completely separate. That said when they work holly cow! I wouldn’t have hesitated to shoot my 3.5 inch 5s out to 50 yards. I’ll just use my leftover long beards for coons and Chinese balloons

I checked Shelbyville Walmart and Glasgow Walmart and they haven't put out any Turkey shells yet. I was in Rural King (Glasgow) today and they didn't have any either. I was trying to see if they had any deer clearance, but lady said they put everything left over in storage.

I'm a TSS guy, love them things. I would never say I won't shoot anything else cause at the price they're at then a feller may have too, lol. I look at it like $14 that's one dead turkey, so I just shoot 2 a year.

I know a guy that loaded his sons shotgun with tss and that little boy unloaded 3 rounds at a bird missing each shot. Expensive plinking haha
