Willie Nelson concert announced in Ashland​

ASHLAND, Ky. (WSAZ) -- The Paramount Arts Center announced Monday singer Willie Nelson is set to play on the Ashland Riverfront in August.
According to the Paramount Arts Center’s Facebook page, Willie Nelson & Family LIVE on the Ashland Riverfront is set for August 2, 2022.
The fan club presale begins Tuesday at noon.
Public ticket sales will happen on Thursday June 30, 2022 at noon.

I saw Willy years ago at Opry land. It sucked. That’s why I got in for free. Lol. But whatever. I like some of his music.

Saw him a couple yrs ago at Riverbend, he never stopped or took a break you could tell when his tour bus door opened smelled like they had burned a bail of Mary Jane 2 minutes later he came on stage, great show!

I enjoy classic country, honky tonk, outlaw country, heck I even enjoyed the film Red Headed Stranger. I just can’t enjoy his vocals. It has always grated with me. Hopefully nobody will get me tickets as a wedding gift or birthday present.

I love outlaw country music as much as anybody and couldn’t wait to see him in Murray a few years ago, 2nd worst concert ever. Man he sucked big time, didn’t even sing half the lyrics. Guess he was having a bad day. Worst was Bob Dylan in Murray by a country mile, a braying jackass is better.

I didn’t really like his sound for a long time….but I think it’s like an acquired taste. Once you dig it, you love it. I totally understand what you are saying though.
