After looking at the pic again on my wife's computer I will agree it's a gut shot. I've been having problems with my monitor on my laptop getting fuzzy and dark. After I re-boot its ok again for awhile. I think it's on it's last leg.
A gut shot deer normally will take 12 hrs to die if you no for sure its a got shot wait tell tomorrow its cool enough.
I can't believe anyone could hunt this morning knowing a stud like that is lying there dead waiting to be recovered....
Gl and hope you find him
Wait til tomorrow
It is tomorrow....it was shot yesterday morning.
Oh lol just seen it
Ok. Looking for him now! No blood, just hair at shot site. If a deer is gut shot but not scared too bad do they normally travel back the direction they came from? Just looking for a dead bedded deer now! Thanks for the help!
Look in any thick stuff or near by water. Seems gut shot deer end up at a water source. It should be within 150 to 200 yards unless coyotes jumped it.
Following this, hope you find him! Man what a stud!!
Been checking this thread every 30 mins...hoping to see that big dude on the ground! Anything new?
Did not find him. Lots of thick stuff hard to find a dead bedded buck. I'm in Hickman co.
