Checked and fall harvest is currently 1631 birds, lowest harvest in about 20 years (1593 birds in 2000). Fewer turkeys? Fewer turkey hunters?

Never saw a turkey this year during gun deer season. Usually see several, if not dozens.

I am running 12 Game Cams in Central Ky and over the past month and a half have not captured one photo of a turkey on 300 acres.

Places I hunt in eastern Kentucky have lots of birds. Places I hunt in central Kentucky just don't anymore. Nest raiders, weather, whatever? Either way fewer birds will eventually mean fewer hunters and that's bad for the species overall

Here in Central Ky, where I live; I haven't seen one Turkey since August of this year. I believe the very unusual sustained hot & dry weather from mid-June threw September + predators had a lot to do it.

It's down 2 because I didn't hunt. Lol. I saw several birds during deer season, I just had some other things going on and didn't take time to turkey hunt. I'm killing 'coons to pass the time until spring season!

I think I had already posted on another thread. We’ve seen them all over the place this Fall and I killed a gobbler with a crossbow. Now, come Spring, we’ll be lucky to lay eyes on one. Don’t know why but that’s how it is where we hunt.

I haven't seen nearly the numbers I usually see. Saw about a dozen near the house this week, but never heard or saw a single bird while hunting this fall.

Driving to town Saturday morning on HWY 210, I saw a small flock of around 8 Turkeys out in a harvested corn field. First Turkeys I've seen since August, and I only saw one in August.

I went from having dozens in two different roosting areas my place until late September, to just 2 Tom's in November, to 1 hen in December.
It's been pretty much the same routine for the last 6 or 8 years on my place. They come back in the late spring - early summer and stick around until fall.
I'm running corn feeders for the deer so I've not contributed to the harvest numbers.

if they squash corn baiting for deer the turkey harvest would probably be higher.
