I passed on several bucks this year, i enjoyed it and felt good about letting them walk. It was nice just to watch instead of going into kill mode. I have deer meat from last year, i eat what i kill but i dont hunt for food. Ill stick me a nice young doe maybe before the season runs out. This weekend im gonna grab bow and head back at it again. Anybody else still got any game plans for post rut and late doe rut hunts?

I’ve still got one. Finally got the go ahead on another place that’s got deer thick as weeds on it. Gonna dump some corn and put a camera out there and see what’s out there.
Wish i could use corn, i hunt southeast we are absolutely ate up with bears. Which im planning on trying to het one next weekend which is rifle bear weekend. Im in harlan i had to quit baiting for deer even salt or deer cain. You attract more bears than deer and if those garbage pandas start using your bait or minerals the deer will quit using it. They rake havoc on deer cameras, and tree stand seats. Wish they never turned them loose. Its a money maker for the state, nothing else.

I’m holding onto mine I reckon. I’m taking a break until muzzleloader. I’ll have ye ole .50 cal pistol out and my bobcat (the rifling in the barrel looks like an old logging road). If I can get a stud inside 35 with the pistol or 75 with the bobcat I’ll give it a go.

Otherwise I love bow hunting late season and the tag isn’t weighing down my wallet any. It can ride another season.

Still have mine. I passed up a couple of pretty young bucks, 110-120", and a mature buck that was all busted up Thanksgiving morning. Hoping my #1 made it through the gun season. No pics of him since day before Thanksgiving. If he made it, I'm gonna load up with corn in late December, and try to get him with the crossbow, unless something nice happens in ML.

Been an odd year for me this year so I still got mine. Tons of small bucks from the get go and a few good bucks during October that I didn’t see during gun. Finally seen a shooter this past Saturday but he was running Mach 5 and wouldn’t stop. Hoped to go back in that evening but the farmer moved cattle back in. I have a farm I haven’t hunted on this year. All timber so gonna get over there with a couple hundred pounds of corn and a camera and see if I can’t get a good one on cam there. If I can, will get back after it with the cross gun in a couple weeks.

Right there with you. Had the freezer stocked going into the season so been picky and passed on several. Got anxious and took a doe on Thanksgiving so resetting and going to hit it hard with a bow and late muzz. Three best bucks we've had on cam took off last week of Oct so hoping to see 1 or 2 back around late season.

Hope they kill them all....hate that those things got started around here too. They tear up everything, nothing is safe.
