Those 3 laying in the mud remind me of a football homecoming dance long ago. Them girls had the same expression on their face...which after all these years still cant shake that image.
Around Windsor, we had an onslaught of hunters this spring looking for them and they killed a couple dozen I believe. We were happy and pissed as most hunters had dogs and trespassed for a few weekends in a row. The game wardens diddnt want this as it just makes them smarter and spreads them out even more. We were being pretty successful trapping them, but word got out and here comes every weekend hunter without permission. they have really messed with the deer hunting, they dont like to share the food plots, and they are wallowing in one of my mineral licks in the picture I posted.
I don't have the solution, but you won't be able to eradicate them by yourself. It's going to take something on the order of every resident in the county with a firearm to get out and kill a few if you're going to get rid of them. You folks out in the agricultural lands have it hard, but imagine when those things get started in these heavily wooded mountains on the eastern side of the state. Finding them and getting rid of them will be like picking fleas off an airedale's back. We'll be lucky to find and kill one in a hundred.
