me and my son just pulled up on a high ridge in metcalfe. It’s a beautiful morning. We don’t hear any birds yet but we’ve got our fingers crossed. Good luck fellas I think birds will hit the dirt at a rapid pace this weekend.

Out in Scott Co. More gobbling than last weekend for sure. Nothing close. Beautiful out!

Out in Hart today. Haven’t heard a gobble. Headed to the shroom patch and picked 4 big yellows and now back in my blind safely after killing a dozen wasps!

Went near Nelson/Spencer border this morning. 2nd hunt and still no birds seen or gobbles heard. However, sign of turkey all over this property!

On way out we saw a group of 5 bearded strutters hanging out in field. Why these guys hanging together?

I saw my first gobbler of the year around 9:25. Came around woods edge by a neighboring farm. Stopped and looked in direction of my decoys for a few minutes they headed back up into the field. Never gobbled and acted like he could care less.

Wish I could be out there with my Son or Mom but my wife is at work and my Parents are working on some renovations so there is no one to watch the little one. But dang the weather looks perfect. There sould be a few thousand birds taking the long nap this weekend.

Well we got on a couple today but they didn't want to play the game. But we didn't come home empty handed.

Called one in this morning for my little girl but we didn’t have any decoys out and he knew something was up when he came out into the field and didn’t see anything, she took at 30 yard walking away shot and knocked feathers out of his neck but he flew away

Heard nothing saw nothing. I'm tired. I thought the weather early in the season would make for better late season hunting. Was I wrong. Turkeys gonna do their thing in snow, lightning tornadoes etc. that's just the nature of the turkey. Maybe the last week will get better
