We used to catch them for striper fishing at Gallatin steam plant this time of year, was always easy to catch except sometimes the size we wanted to use for bait. Have caught them at Cordell Hull below the dam this time of year too. Are you wanting them for catfish bait?

Bait store in lake city, next to fish market, sells them when they can get em. The few times i checked last summer, they couldnt get any so we started catching our own.

When I was growing up we always seemed to catch them in late spring/summer under mulberry trees. That was the only time we ever targeted them and it was for catfish bait
