When are you taking off to hunt?

Few days end of October and first 2 weeks in November.

Just a day or two here in Ky. depending on weather and school events. Then the first few days of gun opener in Ohio, the Monday after Thanksgiving.

I haven't taken off to hunt in over 25 years. I only take off the day after I get one to put it away if need be. Thankfully I have a job that I can easily do that without much notice.

Nov 6th-11th for a camping/hunting trip. Hopefully it’s not 75 degrees.

I’m limited to my weekend warrior thing. Maybe a few days around Thanksgiving and a few around Christmas. Hoping to retire in a few years and hunt whenever I choose.

Congrats on retiring. I was thinking about the same day but I chickened out based on the current economy

I retired this spring, just in time to enjoy turkey season and just prior to starting Chemo. Now that I have that nightmare behind me, I can say phooey to the whole idea of "taking off" to go hunting. I've got 200 acres outside my bedroom window every morning.

If you have a bead on one then the first option. Hunt a scrape line.
If you’re just hoping something is cruising, second option for sure.
