I have been hunting a private farm near my house. I haven't seen a soul in my 15+ hunts there. Well yesterday evening I went to my stand and someone has set up a stand not 10 yards from mine (wasn't there Wednesday). Issue is I plan on hunting it all weekend and on, but want to be able to tell whoever it is to move along seeing I was there first without having it turn into a pissing match. To make it worse he set his stand 20 feet in front of my camera. I am kinda guessing he found it and seen the pictures I was getting. havent got a picture of him yet so he must be deleting them when he left out yesterday.
I have permission to hunt this farm as does anyone one else that wants to seeing the owner hates deer. I just want to handle this right without giving up my spot.

Man, that is just straight up inconsiderate on their part. Not sure what I would do, but if you want to avoid confrontation, bring a climber and sit in upwind if possible.

I would get in touch with the land owner to see if he gave anyone else permission to hunt there. If not I would go out there today and take the stand down. Then in the morning when the hunter came in I would give him an ear full But if you have to confront the hunter have something in you hands besides a ML or BOW. .If the land owner did give someone permission I would ask him to call them and ask them to move that stand.Tell him you have been hunting there and where the hunter put their stand.
GOOD LUCK and I hate that for you.Its an inconsiderate hunter that has done this permission or not.

I considered taking their stand down and setting it in the drive coming into the field but then he might disrupt my hunting. The problem with getting the land owner involved is I don't want to lose permission to hunt myself because of some drama. I thought about leaving him a present on his seat but that would be sure to start trouble. lol I plan on just getting there early and tough luck to him. I will be bow hunting muzzle loader. To me this feller is straight up lazy and a low life to want to sit that close to me. Then again I have been seeing a 150 class deer there. Which is on camera also.

Some people are just ignorant. The other guy may not have a clue what he has done. Talk to the landowner about it but downplay it and stay calm. Laugh about it even. IMO, you have to find out if its someone that landowner know's about.

You better just hope its not his grandkid! Lol

Its going to disrupt your hunting which ever case may happen. The land owner might want to be involved if he didn't give permission to that hunter. It happen to me last year on my own place.Neighbor let a fellow hunt on his 4 acs. but he instead climbed two of my fences and put a pop up blind right in the middle of my Bean field.YES I WAS PISSED.I took the pop up blind down carried it over to the neighbors property and threw it over there. Then when I got to the house I called my neighbor and asked him if he let the guy hunt in my Bean field. He said I told him where the fence lines were and he didn't listen. The hunter even told him I put up a blind in a GOOD SPOT.He called the guy and told him to come and get his blind and where it was laying. He did only to move it up the hill right in front of the other neighbors stand food plot.He called the neighbor and complained and this guy lost his 4 ac hunting spot.
Like I said he is going to disrupt you either way it goes.Aproach the land owner first is the best way to start.Even if you lose your permission are you going to have to put up with others right on top of you to where you cant enjoy the hunt anyway.GOOD LUCK.

You got a point there. I will swing by his house after work and see if he knows who it might be. Either way he will know about it from me first and not the other guy starting stuff. Get ahead of the ball so to speak.

Ha sounds like another day in the public woods! But on a serious note i had a situation like this happen to me on my family farm seems like my uncle who comes up from North Carolina every year to rifle hunt always sets up a hang on right next to where I have cameras and my bow stand but I always want to say something but never do cause I know he is only in for the week but the same time it gets to me when he seems to get a good buck I'm after each year...but I guess elders get the right away...

Getcha some rubber gloves, gather up some poison ivy, rub it all over his stand, go somewhere else to hunt, and laugh, laugh, laugh

Take several packs of fire crackers and enjoy the day with him sitting 20 yards away.

Just consider you hunt is over and piss him off really bad!

Bitch slap to end his day!

Keep us up dated on what happen.

Well he came in 10 minutes till day light and stopped at my camera then on to his stand. I just sat there. He saw me about 8 and flipped me off! Got out of his stand and back to my camera. At this point I hollered at him and he took off walking. Checked the camera when I got down and had 151 pictures. This morning I had 204. All my bucks including last years were deleted. I moved my camera and stand. Came back for this evening hunt and his stand is gone. I am back here alone again! I do have his lic plate picture now. He was an older feller in his late 40s to 50s.

Well at least he moved but to where? could be just out of sight from your stand.Did you ever talk to the land owner? This guy could be a trespasser.FLIPPING ME OFF would have been a bad mistake.I would have run him down and beat his azz for that.I would let the land owner know about this deleting your pictures and flipping you off.
Good luck hope you get that big one.
