From my experience they all get eaten up eventually by briars. And the ones that hold up are too hot to wear most days.

Carhartt briar pants work pretty good for about 5 or so years in my experience. I’d also try some of the Carhartt double front pants - like a logger pants.

My Mule pants are tough but hot.

Maybe I’m just old fashioned....but those britches look far to restrictive for me. Do they make a lighter weight version for long days in warmer weather?

Actually they do, but I'm afraid to post a pic....
Just imagine a mesh sock with a banana in it,
they don't deter the ticks but golly they ARE comfy and let the air flow.

I just ordered 2 pair. They didn’t have quadruple xl so I’ll be squeezing into them, but Im hoping they stretch easily. Thanks!

I went on my first woodcock hunt yesterday. I wore canvas overalls and knee boots with no issues but also no sightings or shots fired

For normal warm weather stuff un-insulated Carhart pants or bibs work ok for me. I run the filson tin chaps once it's cool enough. This year I've been running a pair of REI hiking pants they're light enough they breathe ok and have a little stretch when you kneel or step up. Pyke gear is making some awesome gear according to the podcasts and reviews but they're pretty high dollar. If you fall into the buy once cry once section of folks like I try to be they maybe exactly what you need.

If you need any for deer or turkey Check these out. Very soft so not good with briars.

Still plenty left. Amazing pants. Comfortable and warm all for $20.

Back in the day, I wore 2 pairs of bluejeans. I would be the dog and walk right through a patch of blackberry briers. Worked pretty good. :D

I just wear a thong and flip flops most of the time. But actually I have a pair of 1980s military woodland camo pants a buddy of mine gave me when he retired from the Guard. I also have a heavy duty pair of brown generic camo pants from a local Army/Navy that are great. I don't remember the brand, but they are made in USA and have flag colors on the tag. I only buy name brand camo during a super sale, so I am a mismatched looking thing, but it actually works well when nothing is the same.
