yes, you can deep fry a wild bird...when deep frying your bird make sure there are no holes in the skin for it will mess up the meat......it takes about 45 min. to dry pluck a wild bird...........ez
Here is a simple and very good one.......slice the breast in strips...soak it in Italian dressing for a couple of hours... a dash of salt and pepper then bake, grill or fry... it doesn't matter...anyway is very tasty!
Or dip the strips in a buttermilk batter and skillet fry...yummm
Cut the breast in small chunks and dip them or roll them in a beer batter and deep fry them. Add a little sweet and sour sauce. Don't invite alot of people over, you won't get seconds.
Beer Batter
Half a can of good beer (drink the rest)
Add egg
Add flour and adjust so that the mixture is not runny or to goey.
If it's to goey add more beer, to runny add more flour.
Here's another way
Take pancake mix and put it in a bag along with strips of turkey and do the shake thing then take each strip and deep fry them. Had them this way last weekend and wow are they good!
Well the way my Turkey season(s) is going!!!! I just add a little salt & pepper, fold up the tag and eat it! You'd think I'd start to like em' turkey tags as many as I get to eat! O' Well it's a blast chasing em'.

P. Beyer...shoot man, no need to have a tag and dumplins...come to my place this weekend and I will put you on some turkeys! I had one Sunday morning get within 5 yards of me. I was sitting in my truck, in front of my barn drinking coffee waiting for the sun to warm things up a bit before I started to hook up to spray corn ground. Here comes a big tom from behind me, walks right beside the truck and puts on a heck of a show for me. I was armed with nothing but a camera and a 9mm. I took him with my camera!...lol. I have some great pics but I don't know how to put one on here. Seriously, if you want to travel to Metcalfe Co. I will put you on some birds.
