1 acre pond. Right now I am copper sulfating the moss issue. This is a pain in the ass.
Ive heard, read, etc pro and con issues regarding carp for years.
What is your preference for moss control?

The sterile grass carp shouldn't be an issue. I don't think I would stock them (or anything non-native for that matter) if there was even a tiny chance your pond would get flooded out and potentially end up contaminating another water body.

(I watched a show late last night on the asian carp and am especially gun shy after it.)

My pond drains into BUllskin creek. Is the salt river too pure for carp?

Up in tree or in a boat
I am in the same situation. I have had to spray the moss twice already in a one acre pond. I bought 20 grass carp a week ago. I'm anxious to see how they help.

Copper Sulfate is supposed to kill back some of the weedy/moss growth. You can get some pond clear stuff at TSC. I bought some of that stuff to clear up a pond to kill the moss/algae in it. No real value as a fish pond because of how shallow it is but I wanted to clear/clean it up for duck hunting.
