Getting ready to flip this hundred barrel crude oil tank and see if I can do it without blowing myself clean UP!!

Anybody that wants to show me the "right" way to do it is more than welcome and I'll watch you from behind a big oak tree about a quarter mile away ... just in case you're wrong. 😄

You cutting or fire watch? You know one don’t work without other.

I’d fire a few rounds in an unusable place first. Hell, I’d probably cut it with rounds just for the fun of it.

LOL! I'm the cutter, the welder AND the fire watch. I wear baggy pants so I can feel the heat before the flesh ignites.

Notice that shiny metal flexible exhaust pipe ... I'll run the exhaust from the welder into the tank for about 30 minutes and then throw a "test flare" through the hatch to see if it's safe to start cutting.

If it's not .... you can pick up the pieces somewhere in Allen County. 🤪

My neighbor stuck a torch to a 55 gallon oil barrel years ago. Good thing I happened to be in the yard that morning to save him and his barn.

I've welded up about 20 of these things over the years ... only had one go boom and it wasn't too bad. But, if this one blows ... I just hope it gets me quick ... I'm getting too old for this s#!+ anyway. 💀😝

KYBOY, you were right ... it IS an old 200, the exciter is on the other end.

It's the sweetest welder I've ever owned, smooth as glass and more power than you'll ever need, love to hear it run. The ONLY thing wrong with it is that it just has a single DC 120 outlet for grinders and such but that's it.

Wouldn't trade it for a brand new welder with all the latest bells and whistles but then again .... I wouldn't have a clue how to operate it if I did have one. 🙃

Ahhh, I didnt even think about that,LOL.. They are great old machines, smooth as butter.. My last job supplied me with a new 250 miller bobcat, it was a good, very reliable machine but it wasnt nearly as smooth. The arch was jumpy and kinda rough to be honest. Though on the plus side it was a helluva generator and out a lot of power. Since I retired early Ive been looking for my own jenny-welder.. got some good machines in the shop but i need a mobile machine bad..

resized some 30-30 brass and getting it ready to wet-tumble.. By the way if you haven't tried wet tumbling your brass with stainless pins your missing out. Far better than tumbling in dry media like walnut hulls

Hauled 18 feeders and 2 cows to the stockyard for my 82 year old neighbor. He used to do it himself but, age makes it rough for him. He's talking about getting rid of all his cows once the next batch of calves get big enough. I can tell it's hard on him seeing his body starting to give out. I'll help him out as long as he can keep going.
Lost another widow neighbor a few months ago. She was 89 and was still climbing up on an old farmall to plow her garden just a couple of years ago. She just never bounced back after a second round of chemo.
I hate to see these neighbors I've known all my life going. It's sad plus makes me think I'm not that far behind them.
On a positive note I haven't shot a deer yet but, I have killed 2 yotes. One in the woods yesterday and one from the back porch Thursday.
