As long as it holds, sir. Doesn't have to be pretty
It looks nasty but I had to fill weld the inside an grind it smooth, I then added a little JB weld to make sure it was smooth and sanded it down. Added the black duck tape to help with rust. I have done the duck tape as a rust cover before and after years and having to repair a tire, the duck tape will still look like new. Better than paint.

Finished working on my rear tractor wheel on my small John Deer. I can't afford $755 to $855 for a new rim so I did the best I could.
Damcalcium No more calcium in these tires.
It wasn't easy and my damwelder is messing up. It used to put out a nice weld but now it isn't welding like it should. Maybe I need to add a extra ground cable to a ground rod IDK. It may have been too long of a cord but I had to reach the tractor. I use flux core wire but I have argon but I was too lazy and didn't drag it out.

I think it's Beautiful as long as you don't have to buy a new one.
I like the Duct tape idea also; I have found the Gorilla Duct Tape is the Strongest of any brand. Expensive yes, and I use cheaper brands for jobs that don't require the Best. It also is so Sticky that I can't hardly get it unwound.
And I hate that Calcium Chloride. Corrosive as hell.

Yep, right up there with maters, blue lake bush beans, cucumbers and squash when it comes to summer garden goodness.

My grandpa was a tough one to hoe for too in a baccer patch. He’d say, “I can’t use you if all you’re gonna do is chop out weeds.” He expected the crust broke and fresh, new dirt hilled up to every single plant. That’s a LOT of hilling on 16 acres.

That was Gorilla tape I used. I started my tractor and put it in first gear while my son wrapped it. YEP my son showed up long enough to help wrap the wheel and help me with getting the tire back on.
It only takes one little piece of rust to wear a hole in the tube. I always cut an old tube and wrap the outside of a new tube and that helps a lot.
My son has been busy fixing up his old house for him and his new lady. From the pictures I have seen he has been very busy and his house is looking really good.

Rain and rest. After the week I had getting hay done it feels pretty good. My 20 acres turned off a little less than half what it normally does. Fortunately some new neighbors had 20 acres that needed mowing.
I got my TD80 out of the field yesterday and dragged my destroyed baler home. Good neighbor baled the last 15 bales for me. I took the tank off the NH and cleaned everything. What a job laying in hay and bathing in fuel. Came home and took a shower before reassembley. Next the deere. I dumped a bunch of algaecide in the tank so, hoping I can just change the filter since it only got 5 gallon of fuel instead of 20.
Edit to add:
Why does something like this always happen when the tanks are full?

Hay Crop for me is about 50% to 60% for Me this year. I put almost $6,000 fertilizer on them and got Less than last year with ZERO Fertilizer. Goes to show that Water is a must have, but that last late freeze we got frostbit and stunted my hayfields. If late hay doesn't turn off good, it's gonna be Cow Sale time for me. I have a bunch of old cows that need to go anyway. Sell one bull and buy nother in Spring.
Worst drought I ever saw in May-June.
Algae.
Bad news is you will have to dump fuel and get new filters along with cleaning tank. I found out the hard way also.
Algaeside in the 250 gallon Fuel tank now. Thank Obongo and the Rats for ramming thru the new diesel standards taking all the sulfur out of the diesel.
