What games or sites do y'all play on stand

i try to keep my eyes pealed till around 10. For some reason this site is extreme laggy and pop ups galore on IOS

Me either, Duster. I only use the internet when I am at home, not in the woods while hunting.

I like to do exercise games in the stand. I like to watch videos on how to do a proper jumping jack, back bends and even cartwheels. Then I practice all out till a deer walks within 5 yards of my stand. Then I chootem. Sometimes also watch hilarious youtube videos with the volume all the way up..sometimes those vidoes act like a deer call and just bring em on in.

Nothing. No cell phone service out where our blinds/stands are - you have to go to the top of the ridge to get service (and then only if you're lucky).

The way I see it is if a cell phone and a game keep a kid or adult in the woods that extra hour or two that's just as fine as a old man using a buddy heater so he can stay in the woods an extra hour or two! Both are modern conveniences. None of us are out there wearing traditional buckskins and a long bow with wooden arrows and fletchings. There may be one or two hardcore guys like that but not the majority

I just check this site to see how everybody else is seeing tons of deer and passing 120's and 130's while I struggle to see a doe or spike...Good times.

Im not going to lie, the last couple years Ive found myself using an iphone until daylight anyway..if Im up on the mountain signal is not a problem here close by..
For years I would not carry any electronic device. I had to carry a pager for the DCT team at work when a random test page caused me to get busted by a big doe..
Then about two years ago I had my wifes iphone while hunting on dewey lake. I was surfing THIS SITE RIGHT HERE when I looked up this nice 10 point was staring me right in the face as I was hunting on the ground..He bolted jumped but then stopped with is head behind a tree and I had to make a whole lot longer shot than I should have though I was lucky to even get him but I did,,,
Just like someone else said I see them now as no different than using a blind,a heater, a tree stand or a range finder..
Allmy life until just a few years ago I hunted off the ground with no blinds,stands,corn,calls or devices of any kind..I figure Ive got a little comfort coming even though I still don't use most of that stuff.
Im also not opposed to a hot meal in a all day stand these days either..This whole outfit weighs less than a pound in my pack. I can have hot chicklate and a hot meal in less than 10 minutes.
