I've seen K-9 have a lot of success with peanut butter. Very effective and doesn't stink to the high heavens.

I used marshmallow with loganberry paste lure in a dogproof trap. I prebaited 3 days before season opened. I set 2 traps and had 1 coon my first try. Made me a believer.

in a cage trap i had really alot of luck with canned oysters they are hard to find but all you have to do is punch a couple of holes in the bottom and top of the can and drain the juice out and that on can will last you for well over a month once the oysters breack down they still have a realy strong sea food smell and dont rot that is all i used to use. i actualy cought a b-cat useing them.

Marshmallows seem to work well and are easy. Plus the don't stink.
