    wondering what people use here on the site,also seeing what caliber is most popullar with hunters around ky..if i dont list it,feel free to put the caliber you use.

    I don't see .50 BMG on there anywhere. :confused:

    You would be amazed at how short the tracking job is. The blood trail is hard to follow, it's kind of scattered about. It leaves you walking in circles, but the deer should be laying within 5 feet or so of the impact.



    In all seriousness, I've killed deer with .25-06, .35 Remington, .30-30, .300 Win Mag, .270, and a few trusty carbon arrows. They all worked in short order. NONE went more than about 30 yards with the exception of a doe I shot last year with those dang Montecs. :D

    my brother had a 710 in 7mag and loved it.. that thing would shoot great groups.. he traded it for a model 70 in 7 mag and says he likes it even better.

    I love the grouping I get with the 7 mag I got now. I used to shoot 243 and always had a hard time getting a good grouping. maybe it was the gun or I was to young and couldnt site it in good enough.
