If it was a decent sized yearling you should have shot it too. Some good meat! Congrats on what sounds like an awesome hunt.

 

Glad someone saw deer. Nothing moving around me except about 3 dozen squirrels. Deer must still be in the bottoms from yesterday's weather.

 

I started hunting early ML this year have probably been out 6 times including Sat morning/evening and I’ve seen 1 doe and 1 yearling while on stand/blind and they were far off. It’s like they say, “We know you’re there idiot, we’ll visit when you leave or after dark.” I did hear lots of chasing and grunting Saturday but didn’t eye anything.

 

Good on yeh. That's a ± deer neutral harvest: took one out, and effectively saved at least one.
