Thanks again to all who guessed in the other thread in the community forum. I just thought it was a fun thing to do during a stressful week. So, what was in the box? It was a Leupold VX5 HD 3x15x44 rifle scope. It has the firedot reticle. I’m loving this thing! This by far the best optic I’ve ever owned. I just got it mounted hand tight this afternoon in order to make sure my Talley rings worked properly as far as eye relief goes and they do. As you can see, the front mount is close to the bell but not touching and I still have a little room to work with. I thought I may have to go with a pic rail and rings but I’m golden. I’ll mount it properly soon and hopefully get to do some shooting. The rifle is a Browning Hell’s Canyon Speed Long Range in .300 WSM. Love the set up so far but looking forward to seeing how it shoots.
Thanks guys. I’m looking forward to doing some shooting. I’ve got a box of Winchester Power Points to use for barrel break in. Then I’ll start trying to figure out what anmo it likes.
Have you had a chance to try it out? No heated rifle range? Seen several different brands of ammo on shelves at Sportsman. A lot of Norma with a 180 gr bullet, I think their bullet. Never tried it but SW recently got a shipment as several stores had it stocked. Have shot a Norma load with 150 BT. Shot well and hotter than whats produced in the US.
