Yep, I just happened to have a new box of those. Just opened it--same thing. I just assume every transaction of any kind is going to be some kinda rip-off any more.

It's that way with pretty much everything right now. Usually they at least shrink the package to go along with it though. I had to go get a bottle of bleach the other day. I don't think they even make gallon sized bottles anymore. They're all 3.2 liters or something close to that. That's just one tiny example of what I've seen.

They are shrinking the size while maintaining the same price...called shrinkflation. Big difference on dog food too. It was $23 for 55 lbs and now it's $27 for 44 lbs.

Just checked out a new box the wife just bought. The stacks just fit the box, stacks are short but so is the box.

Someone needs to count the crackers per pack, weigh each cracker and measure the thickness of each cracker. Info may come in handy in a class action lawsuit. Headline "country crackers want their crackers"

Look on the box for the 800 number and call them with polite inquiry. My guess is that it was a robotics software glitch, since properly addressed, but production did relocate from Ohio to Tennessee within the past year, which may also be relevant.
