Here is another story..there's just no way the pension fund can get out of this mess just by paying the minimum due each year and a rosy return on investments. I read another story where the outgoing has now reached equilibrium with the incoming due to the increased number of retirements in the past year or so. Our elected leaders, primarily democrats along with a few republicans have failed us by not paying the required contribution for the past 10-15 years, instead they diverted the money to fund other projects. I'm not the biggest fan of Matt Bevin, but at least he is trying to do something about it. And mark it down, if the democrats regain control, the pension fund will be kicked to the side and forgotten about until the day it goes broke.

Sounds like the CEO of the company I worked for. He said the reason they need concessions is the retired workers are just not dying off fast enough. Only have over 50 billion yes Billions in the pension fund. Just got my annual statement a couple days ago showing that.

Increased life expectancy, early retirement, fewer workers paying in, poor return on investments, cost of living increases in benefits, rising healthcare costs are huge components to this disaster. Kentucky's pension spending has been increasing nearly five times as fast as revenues. We are talking north of $70 billion in unfounded liabilities. This house of cards could completely crumble in the next couple years. Let it burn!

Ah, yes. The typical liberal retort. You disagree with my comment despite Bernie being your hero and resort to name-calling.

So dang predictable it isnt funny. Actually quite sad. Many on here dislike/hate you. I dont. I pity you.

Yes, I liked Bernie ... we’d be in much better shape with him as POTUS, but the stupid comment was linking him to Venezuela... that only occurred in the twisted minds of those that area easily manipulated by alternative facts.
  13. Let’s see he’s an avowed socialist and Venezuela is a socialist country. You’d have to be pretty STUPID to not see that FACT, but then again your post history kinda proves your stupidity.

... and you’re a hate filled racist, bigot ... that can’t be honest about the context of the conversation.
