We are definitely giving it are best shot . Grouse numbers are down but they are still existing in northeast Ky but low in population and spread out due to habitat n predators . Wildlife management areas are working along with us to improve thicker cover and food sources . It’s going to be a good stretch but we will stay persistent!

If the dept would stop releasing rattlesnakes from helicopters I'm pretty sure the grouses would survive better.

Maybe I'm missing something but from what I read that is nothing more than the typical season dates and bag limits. So I guess all the permit gets is a blind at ballard?

Why is "in Kentucky for wildlife management" in quotations.

It's not about daily limits. But the good days, you could kill an additional limit. The days where you kill a limit here are usually the days when you need more guns.

Would be sweet a few days a year. Would be awesome for wood duck season also.

So how much is it going to cost to get this permit and kill two limits every day ?

Just tuning in, but this thread is way out of hand. Clearly there was some misinformation and it appears no one read the images that he attached on the first page, except for DBKY. I agree with DBKY... this has NOTHING to do with limits. Also, has nothing to do with any other species except for waterfowl. From what I'm reading, this is nothing more than a chance to get first dibs at Ballard. Mr. Perry, I'd suggest being a little more informed if you continue to be an ambassador for the wildlife of Ky. I commend your efforts, but this thread lacks major clarity.
