Wally World is selling all of their AR type rifles today. Probably to late. A buddy of mine bought a .223 and a .308 this morning for $250 each.

Yep, no more "black rifles" at Wal Mart any more after they are gone.

I had to laugh yesterday, was in Walmart picking up some things and was in the sporting goods department looking at fish hooks. Overheard one female clerk talking to a female customer. Customer ask if this gun in the case was a AR, Clerk said she didn't know she had been working sporting goods for three entire days. Seem like two clueless people to me. If that's the best help they can come up with they shouldn't be selling any firearms IMO. Rural King here now has their Gun Barn and before long Bud's is supposed to open under the Uncle Lee's name anyway.

I don't think they were that price. I think they were maybe that much off retail. I called and got some prices, and thought they were still too high.

    Scary black rifles indeed.

My bad on this one. The Walmart that I called had yet to mark their prices down. I went anyway, and couldn't believe what they were doing. A DPMS Oracle, no dust cover or forward assist was selling at $250. That's about half dealer cost. A Windham Weaponry was $350, again about half of dealer coat. Bushmaster was the same, and I'm not talking about the carbon receiver one either, they were marked down to $400. They didn't have any, but if they had, a Colt AR that retailed for over $1100, was selling for $600. They were out of Sig-Sauers, but they were marked down to $440......and a Sig 308 that was listed at $1400, was down to $700. I went to 2 stores and called 3 more trying to find a Sig in 308. Ruger 10-22's, stainless with black stock were $125. I gave Walmart some money this morning, and wished I'd gave them some more.

Another Merry Christmas! For those that picked up a Bushmaster, there is a $50 MIR. Just google Bushmaster Rebate, you should find it. How about that for a deal?

I bought a Windham 223 for $350 it was the only ar they had left, it's the first AR that I've ever owned. Seems like a well built rifle, and has good reviews online.

I can't find any of the 223 ammo for that price at any Walmart.
    But I did find a DPMS LR308, for $600, it;'s on layaway,
I would've brought it home but their background check computer is broke and needs some kind of part before ANY firearm can be sold, so I put it in layaway.
Store clerks were saying that some Ruger 10/22 were $90, H&R pardner Pump shotguns were $89,
I've been everywhere and called everywhere, NOWHERE to be found.

Thanks for the info, otherwise I wouldn't have got the 308, now if they'll get the computer fixed, I'll pick it up.

Lucky dog.......I went to buy the only one they had and it went out the door an hour before I got there.....Keep an eye out for the 90 round AE 5.56 and the M855's, they are next to fall, then it is over.

BTW......Dicks and Cabela's was doing a price match on the 120 round plastic can.

I was told by one of the Walmart clerks in their sporting goods section that they would be selling all semi-automatic firearms. The day that I bought my AR, they had Ruger 10-22's for $125. These were synthetic stock rifles. The wood stock 10-22's are still regular price. I check every few days, because I'd like to buy the stainless take down 10-22 they have. I'm thinking maybe Walmart is just getting rid of the slow sellers, and focusing mostly on what goes out the door in the shortest amount of time.
