They say to shoot a couple and hang them up in trees and they will stay away .
These things are worse than rats or coyotes and there is some idiots out there who think you should catch nuisance animals and turn them loose.
If they did catch them all and turn them loose somewhere else, where would they go? Right back where they were at . They are migratory birds.
I’d take care of that problem.
Shoot them with an air rifle.
Those are some bad ombres!
Don't get caught shooting them, SSS!
True. But it’s not illegal to shoot them with a paintball gun filled with pepper spray balls.
Green Britches will cite you for Harrassing Wildlife.. and i ain't joking.
That’s why he doesn’t need to know.
In some states including KY. Black Vultures can be shot. If they are bothering new born stock. Laws been passed in several states on this. Ohio and TENN. to I know of. I shot 4 last year going toward a new born calf. 2 this time already. My buddy killed a few to. They will eat new born alive. So I keep a good look out for them here. Got 5 new calves on the ground this week already. 11 more to calve yet. I WILL SHOOT EVERY BLACK HEAD BUZZARD I CAN.
I believe it is just a matter of time until the vultures attack a child....they can be very aggressive birds.
What about poison on a carcass?
Might get ate by a bird you don't want to get rid of. Some local guys baited some and a Bald Eagle feed on the carcass and died. They got a big fine over it
Don't ask how I know but the poster that said kill a couple and leave them lay the rest tend to stay away is spot on. The guy that did that had a hundred roosting on his house roof. They tore the rubber away from all the vent pipes and cause a major leak on a million dollar home
That is totally illegal. People used to do that out west but the problem was not only did the target animal, coyotes, eat it so did dozens of other animals and birds. ALL the animals and birds that ate the poison died.
