One of the Facebook pics shows what appears to be a bullet hole or some kind of injury to the front leg. Also the front legs look messed up to me too and the stomach looks swollen. I really hope it’s legit. But if it’s not, hopefully the real story comes out.

Look at the leg. I’m not usually too skeptical, but something just seems a little odd.

Hate seeing a guy getting an animal that size and most questioning it. I’ll give him the benefit of the doubt. Some questioning about the leg(maybe a follow up shot from the stand and he was excited and made bad shot). Also not gutted and stomach swelled (my guess is a buck like that maybe he is doing a full mount and taxi didn’t want him cutting on it and messing the hide up). Who knows those answers but I’ll congratulate the guy on a great buck.

Last picture FF posted looks more realer. I would think 200". Looks like a shot to the leg. Are they having there gun season now?
Great deer though.

Not close. Be lucky to make all time book at 170.
Well I may have over estimated. That’s normal for me 😂. Pics can be VERY deceiving . But if that deer don’t break 170 u and I need to hang up the thought of killing a booner. BTW, I have seen several deer killed that had been shot in the leg/foot prior to the person that actually harvested the deer. The broke jaw plus foot injury makes me scratch my head a bit. But as for now it’s a legally taken deer and what beauty it is.

As far as gutting goes , a lot of folks from various states don’t gut their deer , South Carolina and parts of Virginia , North Carolina , it’s common not to gut your deer I made a post about it on here , Every where I’m hearing the story from is saying it’s legit , it’s a once in a lifetime critter for sure , congrats to the fella , I bet his nerves was shot , I know mine would of been

What I saw was the guy had access to a family farm and didn’t hunt it, his buddy saw this deer cross the road the night before so he decided to hunt there and killed it. He had no history with the deer but neighboring farms had many trail cam pics of it

I seen the same and seen the trail cam pics too. I’m not knocking him or flat out saying it’s bs. I hope it’s not. The pics just look a little strange. I’m sure if it’s legit then realtree or someone will pick it up and do an article on it.

I know there’s more people than you think that don’t field dress a deer. When I went to Ohio to deer hunt a few times, those guys I was with up there never gutted a deer. I watched them skin a handful and the only meat you don’t get from a field dressed deer is the inner lions. They said they preferred cleaning them that way to prevent gut piles on their hunting farms. To each their own I guess but back to the point, I wouldn’t let this deer not being field dressed be a concern. Seen it a many of times.

I will start by saying I hope it is legit, although I am skeptical from the photos. I don’t think too much about it not being gutted, but with the leg and jaw wound it does seem a tad odd. The post I seen that guy reply too he said that he hunted the spot he hadn’t hunted that year, he went out there one time and killed it, shot it in the spine with a slug. And he said it’s better to be lucky than good

Kinda like last year when outdoor life jumped on the story of that record crossbow kill that was a high fence kill from out of state lol
