There is a bright side to that Carnivore, One from Ohio , could swim over to you.
Does travel too. Years ago, found a dead doe by the creek. The doe had a metal tag in its ear, call KDFWR/1800#. A KDFWR Biologist came out to retrieve the tag and the bottom jaw. Per the Biologist, it was one of the original released deer, eleven years, twenty-eight miles away from the release spot. So the doe was an adult when released, that means, she was over 12 years old and traveled 28 miles in her life time. No telling how many offspring she created within that timeframe. It was cool back then to look at a map and think of all the highways, traffic, fences, homes, waterways, and crap she overcame to get to where she ended up.
That is amazing. You can hear a lot of stuff, but that buck with, that collar, and the doe you found are legit.
