They had a good game plan today. They knew Oscar was going to be double teamed so the three was open. Had they hit more of the wide open looks they win by 20.

Wheeler has issues but we do lose the ability to drive as much. He can move with the ball better than anyone else, but he also gets himself into trouble way too much.

But every coach knows the rules. Cal was standing on the three point line during play. I’ve seen him get this call several times. My point is he should follow the same standards he expects from his players. He even gets a warning to tell him to stay in his area. It’s more of a lead by example thing to me.
Pretty sure he actually touched the player…..in play. Not a big deal.

Didn't watch, but listened on the radio. From the audio experience, it sounded like UK was unfortunate to not win by 25. So many missed open looks from three. Regardless, I'm thrilled with the wind. Vandy beat Ga at Ga today. UK better be ready to go Tue night. The product on the floor has been vastly better since the S Carolina embarrassment.

I agree that he can drive better than the rest of the team, but the problem is he can’t run an offense. The lineup now is far more efficient than anything wheeler can create with his quickness. My man cj may not be a player of the year candidate, but his defense is far underrated. His entry passes to Oscar are elite. His passing overall is elite. He provides needed spacing for Oscar. He is a leader and does a lot of intangible things. He is a straight up baller who grinds together an overall performance. Just wait until he shoots the ball like he did at Iowa and at cov cath! Wallace had an off game. It happens. Reeves had many flashes but was inconsistent. Livingston has lotsa potential. Tope’in is stepping up. They aren’t world beaters by any stretch….but they do seem to have more talent than I personally gave them credit for. They could make some noise I rectal.

The talent I mentioned a couple weeks ago. Talent is not the problem

I’ve been down on this team all year but they’re showing fight all of a sudden… I’ll reserve my true thoughts after Kansas next weekend.

CJ and Oscar play a great two-man game. Reminds me of Macy and Robey way back in the day. Other teams know that if CJ heats up, he can hang 30 on you so they have to stay on him - if you notice his defender does not sag to help inside and that really opens up the floor. To me it is key that he be on the floor even if he is having a cold shooting night.

The three point shooting stats for our opponents seems to skyrocket when Wheeler is on the floor and I don't think he gets flagged for many turnovers that are his fault. At this point is there any doubt that this team is much better on both offense and defense when he is on the bench?

Now Kansas will roll into Lexington on a 3 game losing streak. I think that will make it tougher to beat them.
After watching them last night, I think UK is going to have their hands full. Their strengths seem to be our weaknesses. But it works the other way around too. Going to be a dogfight of a game to watch.

You can't get there from here.

I don't know why they have to wait until 9:00 pm to start the Vandy game. Don't they know that's tough on old people wanting to watch?

8:00 here, and I won’t see it all. This old man goes to bed at 10:00. I’m going to Auburn game. Me, the wife, and couple friends going. Got hotel for the night. Looking forward to it. I’ve not seen them since Kevin Knox was there.
