Ok so to be fair i have shot at a yote before, only problem was all i had on me was my 9mm and he was at 80yds. So i missed but i tried!
Anyway i got a place to hunt that needs one gone, so im volunteering with my .308.
They say they see the yote bedded down by the yard during the day and coming into the pasture.
Should i even bother calling for it or are they patternable and i just post up and wait?

Might try a carcass if you can find a fresh one. Good luck!

Agree with Raspy. If they have it that patterned I'd just wait it out.

If the yote has no reason to show itself you will be giving them one and attracting the ones they arent seeing in the area.

Thats true. Just didnt know how long it would take for a yote to hone in on it. Like if i put it out and sat over it right then.. because it surely wouldnt last overnight. But theyd come to it in a couple hours sitting you think?

IMO pattering yotes is a shot in the dark. You'll usually hear em sound off after dark in the same general area, after that it's a crap shoot. Watching a freshly cut hayfield can be productive right now.

Well... i am never going to go out and hunt yote exclusively.
I hate them so much the more i think about them the more i hate them.. and then when i dont see them (because i never do) i hate them even more because they never seem to show up.
All in all hunting them is not enjoyable to me. Closing the book.
