You are backtracking. You certainly do care about Trumps comments. You’ve been very adamant over and over and over about that. I’m not going to rehash that though.
You can not bring people together that choose not to come together. Trump was hated and attacked before he even sat in the Oval Office once he won. How can you bring people together when you are being impeached twice for no reason. They have told lie after lie. Russia collusion? Insurrection ? Yeah, right! And again. I don’t care if he was a player. Didn’t care that Bill Clinton was. I care that a person does the right things to move the country in the right direction. I want them to stand up to world leaders. I don’t want a fake telling me a line of bull. I want a straight shooter.
DeSantis may be great. I’m not counting him out. I just don’t know yet. I’ve been fooled before. He seems to be following the Trump model because I think he sees it as a winning formula. I hope it’s genuine. One thing though. You will see a lot of the same division from the same people. Just wait.

Not backtracking. Trump's comments don't bother me at all. I've made far worse. But I'm smart enough to realize that he is making far too many enemies/and losing voters with his dumbass comments.
DeSantis has no baggage that I can see. Trump is just digging his hole deeper.

What about the division in the country? Seems it ramped up under Obama and has gone supersonic since. It’s not by accident. The left uses it as the main driver for their agenda. The wokeness is getting so bad that even some on the left are seeing how bad it’s getting. We are so far apart.
Then comes policy. I could write an essay on how bad the decision makers and making is. The future is not bright on many levels. Maybe you are sheltered from it. I don’t know. It just proves that our experience and expectations are vastly different.
