Tripod feeders and raccoons

    I’m sorry but I think all of y’all are wasting your money on those ideas. I have tried Vaseline don’t work, tried the gator strips don’t work, tried the conduit with bearings don’t work, only things that work is the basket to keep them from flipping spinner wasting corn and it keeps them from eating up your spinner. DP traps and lead is all that works.

    Well we’ve set one feeder up with black drainage pipe on the legs and one with 2inch pvc. We added plastic coated wooden feet to both keep the legs from sinking into the ground and to be slick enough to allow the pipe to spin. We shall see if either one works.

    I work nights this week, after that I may sit there a couple of nighs, just to say hello to our little visitors. ;)

    I’ve yet to see one climb valley flashing but anything is possible I guess

    I haven’t used valley flashing but I would’ve never thought they would climb gator strips either, but they do.

    Got a friend that hung a feeder from a basketball goal 4 inch steel post concrete in ground steel cable down to it . And had pictures of coon sitting on top of feeder ..,...,o_O
