Yesterday I went hunting and for the first time called in coyotes with an electronic caller. I have killed coyotes before by ambush and called in one with a hand call but this time was unbelievable. I was on stand for maybe six minutes when seven or eight came rushing up the holler in front of me. The brush was waist high and they were jumping to see where the sound was coming from. All I could see was their heads and I managed to get three males with my 22-250 before the rest got wise and slipped away. Best hunt of my life. One adult male and two males from this years litter. Big male weighed somewhere between 40-45 lbs.
Yes it great to get multiples to come in I've killed 6 at on set with a shotgun and called in that many two other times that all died by my partners guns. Congratulations!
Outstanding calling and Shooting. I would say that the first time they have ever been exposed to a Call and it May not work so well the next time. Most I ever called in at once was 3 and only got One shot. THIS one may be the best hunt of your Life for many years!
That’s awesome day in coyote woods in ky. Never called in but one at a time here. But I have saw 6 together 2 years ago while deer hunting. Shot at all 6 ofem and them 6 are still alive I reckon. Lol. Diff story. Congrats.
