The guy had shot another deer or the gw discharged it?
Sorry for not explaining better. The CO discharged the rifle for the perp.
Thought I had trespassers on opening day last weekend. All kinds of racket in the woods. Turned out to be Fish and Wildlife guys marking trees along the property line we share with them. Not sure why they would have done so on opening day. They weren’t worried about it the weekend before during the quota hunt when we had a Hunter try to bring a climber over on us.
Yep did right
If I was an absentee owner I would want to know what going on!
You both did the rite thing. The more they get away with it the more brazen they likely will become.
Damn shame you can't just shoot them.
I would have thrown a fit.
Had KDFWR trapping elk to send to other states during season several years back. Told them i was shooting one in a trap and tagging it if they didnt move it. Turned out to be a misunderstanding and the property owner that gave us permission simply forgot when we were hunting and didnt mention to KDFWR that it was being hunted.
I bet they would have backed off and let you hunt i peace had you talked to them.
Called on a similar situation in my mind years ago. Not a trespasser but poacher. They caught the guy day before rifle opened dragging a deer out of the field with his 22/250 over his shoulder. Watched him shoot it. He only had to pay a small fine to get his gun back. What a F’ing waste of time for those of us concerned. Oh and guess what, he continues to do the same thing year after year.
Are you having second thoughts? I think the more you advertise lawlessness won’t be tolerated, the fewer issues you will have. I would tell anyone that will listen that you won’t tolerate trespassing. I’d tell them at the gas station, the McDonald’s, the local watering hole. Anywhere you think you can spread the message.
Hopefully they take the guns too, cause they are prolly daddy's and that may get em in hotter water.
You did Good.
Pulled into my farm this morning and some lazy a$$ had dumped the buck they killed right where I park. At least they took most of the meat.
I couldn’t help but think all they would’ve had to do is drag the carcass over the hill and into the woods a bit and it wouldn’t of bothered me. Instead they decided to be a disrespectful....
