    What is the “back band?”

It is an optional accessory for the flex and the mantis has one as well. It is a band that you can attach to your bridge that is adjustable by Prussic knots. It’s like sitting in a lounge chair when you get it adjusted just right!

still up in the air about them. Seems like with a shotgun movement is too limited

A platform will help or a ring of steps! For gun hunting I couldn’t think of a better way to shoot with a tree for a brace! I have the Out on a limb Ridgerunner platform . I am so tired of carrying loc ons and climbers. I have some kinks to workout yet but I am getting closer..
    Best of luck.

I am using wild edge steps because they pack really well and I am also using an aider. I bought a molle frame with straps to carry the steps, platform and sometimes I carry my saddle. Works great!

I do and I love it. You'll be hard pressed to find me in a climbing stand again. Lightweight and in a tree in no time. Plus I can shoot 360 degrees around the tree. I'm using the Tethrd Mantis saddle.

I have been watching the youtube channel of G2 outdoors. Some really great information concerning tree saddle hunting. I just wish there was a place to try one out before spending that kind of money on the system. I'm still thinking it will be a great setup, just take some getting use to.

Good stuff, gents. I've settled on a Tethrd Mantis and am leaning to the Wild Edge stepladder system for climbing. For the record, the state's official position is that Summit and other such climbers are not allowed on public land.

I’m in Georgetown, and if you’d like to try out my setup, I’d let you see it.
