My redbone daisy is a week over 5 months. This is my first hound and my first time training but I'm proud of how she is doing. I finally was able to keep the ompossoms out of my trap long enough to catch a coon. She did great with the coon in the trap. Then I took her out of view from the trap. I released the coon and let her go. It took her about ten seconds to sort through the scent from dragging the trap and the coon when it was release. She picked up the trail and tracked it real well. I'm pumped for season. With continued work I feel she will be ready by season open. I'm tickled with my self and my pup so I had to tell y'all!

Just remember she is only 5 months old. Right now I would concentrate on more of obedience training then anything. A dog that won't handle or mind isn't worth 2 plug nickels to me.
