Looking forward to it, Carp! I plan on bringing some youth with me again!
Be sure to adjust their sights so they don’t whop up on us again!
They're doing that "fixed crawl" thing now and they're kill'n me!! I'm going down hard this time. I can feel it in my bones!
..........but I'll go down swing'n!!!
I like the profile of that bow, my favorite design R/D longbow, prefferrably under 60”
Finally! 1st longbow kill! Not gonna set any records anywhere but in my heart and memories..........but that's good enough for me!
Ben Pearson Ol' Ben - 72" longbow
Ben Pearson Deadhead
Awesome! Long poke for an ol stickbow too!!
Congrats you have been after them last couple years
Nice work Jman. Good shot as well.
Shooting a Gold Tip 500 full length with a100gr brass insert and a '59 model Pearson Deadhead (150gr). I chronographed it Sunday afternoon and it was shooting a blistering 135 fps. LOL! However, it is the single quietest bow I've ever shot. Meat and Carpdaddy are witnesses to it's lack of speed and quietness. The 7 pt never moved or dropped any prior to the arrow hitting. It punched all the way through easily, even at that range. It was an awesome evening!
I put the Lansky on that thing until it would shave
I think now that I've scored with that beast, I'm going to get the recurve back out. With it being 72" long, it is unbelievable how many things I've hit with it, in and out of the tree!
Wow congratulations Jman, U da man, nice! Dem boys gonna be jealous bad as I am right now! I remember something about a blind hog.... LOL. You did us old men good!
It was a blessing, not skill. You and Meat have seen me shoot so you know what I'm saying is the truth! LOL!
Yeah, I qualify as a "blind hog"! Ha!
