All the new tractors are junk. Anybody that claims to get good service out of a newer model tractor, is obviously not using it for farm work. Buy you some good old American made iron.

Always think safety first when using a bush hog. You mention "rough, hilly areas" on the 11 acres. You can get hurt real quick pulling a bush hog. Ruts, rocks and holes on an incline can be enough to roll a tractor - especially if the tractor isn't large enough for the implement.

That said, if the rough area isn't too grown up I would rent a DR mower the first time or two....just until you know what is there. You can cut briars and small shrubs with the DR, and you can take a chain saw to the larger stuff. After you get a better feel for how rough the area is you can make a better decision on the size and type of tractor you will want to buy.

Pay somebody with a big rig to clean it up the first time, and then you'll have time to find a good deal on an appropriate tractor for your needs.
