Those old ram chargers were some going machines. I wouldnt be scared of a truck though unless you have other reasons to want the suv other than just pulling the boat.

Go by 3 80 lb sand bags from Lowe's, put em in the back of your truck and you should be fine.

Tundra has a Chevy 350 in it if I'm not mistaken. Im pretty sure I remember hearing Toyota bought the patent and that's why Chevy went to the 5.3 Tundras are way over priced though. You can buy a 3/4 ton Cummins cheaper.

Drive a truck like everyone does a suv is better in snow ice mud? Says who? I will drive a truck in a level 13 snow. Cows have to eat and i have to have copenhagen no matter what. If you where closer to Knob Lick or even Aintry I would launch that boat for you.

That old ram charger would look sweet in nat gear camo with buck shots on it! Maybe a home made pipe brush guard, over size ram on the hood, girl friend steps, not those old running boards. Maybe a set of towing mirrors turned to the inside. And first name on drivers window no other stickers. When you roll up with only a single dr85 with electric tape on it, all will know you are a RBA! Well deerhunter 24 with season being over now you and us have plenty of time to get ready for next year.
Hopefully you can get some practice in in the warmer months .
Also it gives us time to figure out how we can help you.
A lot If is are a long way away from you so it’s going to take some travel and planning. Good news is that we have plenty of time.

NOPE Tundra is based off Dodge 381 engine. Bought it from Dodge. Toyota talking 2020 coming out with diesel like the Dodge. Might be over priced and I have owned just about all of them. Chevy Ford Dodge. Gas and a Diesel Dodge. Tundra best truck I have ever owned. My next truck when I am ready will be another Tundra.

I've launched many a boat with a 2wd on steep ramps. Buy salt or ice melt , Take a flat square shovel and a sledge. A couple bags of sand will also help as will strap on chains. Back into the water and get a running start!

No wonder the gas mileage sucks??? Toyota engineers should be fired if they can't design a decent V-8 !

I need to correct my above post. In a hurry to get out side to feed Cows I put 381 when it should be 318. Im thawed out now. COLD OUT THERE. As far as gas mileage I get 22 on roads and 19 in City. So gas mileage isn't bad in my Tundra. Toyota develops their own engines. But always a 4 or 6 cyl. Then got the 318 and redone it.

Ive had all the diesels and a few 1/2 tons. I'm quite fond of my duramax. Tundra wont cut it for the loads I have. I just cant see the prices they want for them for what they are either but I'm a tightwad.

Someone said the Tundra was overpriced? Funny last year when I was looking for a new truck cause my 11 F350 Diesel blew up and Ford wouldn't cover it, 30 miles out of warranty. Anyhow, I couldn't get a Ford or Chevy 1/2 ton under $60k. I was looking Lariat/LTZ. Ended up with a Tundra Limited for $42k. I actually think the Tundra has way more power than any of the Fords or Chebbys I drove. Came with a lined bed, the others that was more, and came with running boards the others that was more. Looked at a Ram (new), went to open the door and the handle came off in my hand! Handed it back to the guy and said "well, bye!" I think he's still standing in the parking lot with his mouth open! Really liked the Diesel, but the additional cost to purchase and the way higher price for fuel just couldn't justify it again to myself.
