How do you cook this type of meat. Local store has is on sale for 2.99
Marinate in Italian dressing over night, then grill. The dressing will give it some flavor and tenderize it.
London Broil is usually made from the flank. Cook like a steak but probably no more than medium.
You have to slice a london broil properly once its done. Against the grain and tilt your blade around 60-70 degrees. Medium or medium rare is best. If you watch a video, the grain of a flank steak vs a top round london broil is different so pay attention to what they are cutting vs what you buy. Although both are referred to as a london broil.
Savalot has them this week for 2.99 a pound is that a good price?
Yes. 2.99-6.99 is normal, ive seen flank for 8.99
Poor man's brisket. I prefer it low n slow or a reverse sear where it does low n slow on smoker or in the oven until internal temp is about 125* then sear it off real nice. I "sous vide" (with my crock pot) and then seared it on the grill. I accidentally got it a little too done but the taste was great! IMO, it's definitely a good bang-for-your-buck cut of beef.
Im going to try to smoke one then.
For 2.99 .I'm gonna try it. Local savalot has it . They have it in roast and london broil
