Sawyers is some good stuff, but, it gets pricey. Thats why I started mixing my own. Same 5% solution. Pennies on the dollar.

I mix 1oz of Martins 10% permethrin to 19oz of water in a spray bottle. I coon hunt spring, summer, and fall. No live ticks in two years. Found some dead ones on my clothes.

Nothing like sweating in your turkey vest and feeling permethrin and deet burn your pores on a hot birdless day. Better than taking a chance with Lyme disease, spotted fever or alphagal.

Martins make a dip/spray for hounds. My hounds get brevecto and before hitting the woods a light spray down each side of my mix.

I’ve pulled three off of me in the last week. Had one crawling on me two weeks ago after shed hunting. I dread ticks, chiggers and poison ivy. Bring on winter.

I put out granules in grass and spray liquid 7 with my roundup around house, driveway, walkway, sheds, pretreat garden area etc.

Just an FYI permethrin is highly toxic to cats.

That’s a win win in my book.
However, it is hard on fish and frogs as well which is worth noting before a rain.
Well my 1acre pond is 25 feet from my house so thats is good info.
