Started a job at University Med back on the 13th. Spent the night at a hotel downtown the first night. The next morning driving back to the Hospital I realized a lot of the buildings were boarded up including at least one hotel. Never saw any activity, ended up going down town 4 times over 3 weeks. You should be fine, go celebrate the unity but keep on your toes.

I went to a wedding downtown a few weeks ago. After the ceremony I looked out the window and the cops were in the parking lot getting their gear on. Reception was over by 9. (Not my kind of reception lol) never had any problems but I wouldn’t wanna be down there any later than that.

Incidentally ive had about a dozen coworkers, friends, and family that dont own firearms buy an AR or handgun in the last 2 months and come out to learn to shoot (including my mother). Threats of rioters coming out to the burbs has got people on edge. Interesting times we are living in.

“Downtown” is a big area. Most likely fine but stay strapped.
