You got to have one.they work!
Ok guys and gals. The thermacell is on the way
You won't be disappointed. I NEVER leave the truck in FL without mine.
You can buy the refill pads on ebay cheaper and watch the video on how to refill the butane cartridges too, save your empty ones.
If there is a breeze set it up wind just a bit so the wind carries the repellant across where you are sitting. Even works on black flies in Canada.
When my youngest played baseball I would stick one between me and my wife. We sat and enjoyed the moment, everyone else looked like a kungfu movie swatting bugs. Great product.
Let's put it this way - I won't be out in September without the Thermacell. So I guess that makes it even better.
I’ve used it during turkey season and yes it does work. I carry one every year but rarely use it but have a few times.
I say it every year, “I gotta buy one of those darn things.” I guess my dilemma is that bugs rarely bother me as bad sitting still as they do walking in. I hate ticks, spiders, etc...worse than an occasional noseeum. I usually spray myself and spray well. To hell with a deer smelling me! Ain’t taking no chance on a tick disease. I would like to buy one for my back patio, chillin at fire pit, etc...then yes, I’m sure it would find its way into my hunting backpack.
Spray your clothes with Duranon before you go hunting. Douse them. It will last for weeks, and you will not get a chigger or tick on you. The thermacell will keep flying bugs like gnats and skeeters off you during your sit. Nada.
Son and I were building a pool deck last week just after an afternoon rain shower. The bugs and gnats were terrible and eating us alive. I went to my hunting cabinet, got out the thermocell and 20 minutes later....no bugs at all within about a 10 ft area of us. They are one of the best things since sliced bread.
They also have a ThermaCell lantern.
Yep. I’ve seen them. Think I will get one. Heck, my back yard is so small I’d say it will deter bugs from my yard and half the neighborhood!
