^^^ was the only water I saw in WI that wasn't frozen. It was -30 degrees there Monday morning it hard to believe such a shallow river wasn't frozen.

An oldie from U.P. deer camp in 1978. My old hunting partner & I after an all day ordeal dragging two deer to camp when the snow was falling hard and over two feet deep when we left camp in the morning. We had his Arctic Cat snowmobile about 4 miles from camp out in the big hardwoods. We had it buried more times than I could count. Hit numerous trees too. All that to retrieve his and my dad's deer. I was a strong 20 year old that year. I only had two days to hunt as I could not take any more than a Saturday & Sunday to away from college. As it was, Saturday was used up dragging & Sunday we were too exhausted to go out & I caught my ride back to campus in Marquette Michigan in the afternoon.

Another "snowman" picture. This time for 2002. As you can see we were both older but certainly no wiser.

This was camp "Y" from 1991. John Nowicki Sr on the left, my Old hunting partner on the right. That was among the more successful years before the wolves took over the west end of the U.P.

A couple years before I was old enough to rifle hunt, my dad took his 1968 Larson snowmobile up there. 19 horse power & it was mostly useless in that deep snow. As they told the story, they had it off the trailer for 10 minutes, 8 minutes was spent getting unstuck so they could put it back on the borrowed trailer.

6-8 weeks is good. I’m mainly concerned on temps and them having all their juvenile feathers.

Aaron Lewis is wicked good......his "changeover" to what I'll label country is just amazing. Never much of a Staind fan, but I really like Aaron's recent stuff.
