Another great pic. Where are you?? Take your pocket knife and open one of the cactus to see if it's full of water ... I always wondered about that.
This photograph is something else, indeed! I have always loved the old family photographs taken in front of the house. The man on the far right looks to have been quite the rowdy one. Which one happens to be you? Congratulations on the new baby girl, too. Never mind, I read your next post, cute! Are the two young boys over on the far left twins?
He was a bit on the wild side. That is my cousin Charles. He could have played in the movie, "The Wild Ones" The 2 on the far left are not twins but brothers, close to the same age. I am extremely proud of my new little girl. Thank You.
My wife & I got part of a day off from dealing with some elderly folks. We had been wanting to visit a nature preserve and walk the trails. The area a few miles from home is called Green Point. It is of some historical significance as it is were two big rivers flow together to form the beginning of the Saginaw River. It was also the place where lumber mills started and timber was collected and sorted during the spring run off. Most of that happened during the late 1800's here in mid Michigan The trails were crunchy under foot as the overnight temperature was about 18°. We had walked about 2 miles when we came to the last foot bridge before getting the where the three rivers joined. The sign at the bridge seemed particularly appropriate. The ice was plenty solid & we shuffled across completing the last trail loop.
Certainly does, but I would magically remove it from the photograph, then mat and frame it. Interesting shot. I might even try to return when conditions were the same coupled with some light fog, for a bit more of a bewitching look. Nice find!
3-4 inches of fresh white stuff & my dear wife was out helping. Not exactly barefoot on a barn roof like Miss Judy
