Anyone know when the rut will start?
Bo knows the rut
It was on fire for me this year. I think a lot of the bucks are locking down now so it may seem slower. May still catch them between does cruising or hanging with a hot doe.
It's about 10 day "on"
Last week I had two spikes and a 9 pointer and a 8 pointer chasing a doe. I havent been out since then.
Something is weird this year. I know it is happening but all the hunters I am talking to just aren't/haven't been seeing it like we should.
This goes back to bow season so the fact that we went 3 for 3 of "hunters" trespassing and shooting across property lines on opening day isn't the reason.
I'm about to put a picture on the back of a milk carton...something is missing.
Your behind, i have been seeing bucks chasing here on Ft Knox since around the 24th of Oct, and they were hot for the last 2 weeks.
Muzzy125acc.....I am with u 100%! Their is just something missing in my neck of the woods too! The rut has been non existent here! A lot of sign but no big boys to be seen, just young bucks. And no chasing or cruising! The does I see, which is a lot, are always by themselves! What's the deal with that!
I think it is always like this. Hot here, slow there, coming in here, winding down there. Had two small bucks with black glands come through this moring, but it has been mostly quiet in my corner of oldhamcounty, but based on the number of shots ive heard and number of bucks telechecked from oldham, it must be on all around me.
You won't see much rut action in the middle of Lake Cumberland.
Kind of what I was thinking. It is going on everywhere except watching a spider rig on Cumberland. I will even hunt with you this weekend if you need someone to show you how to load your rifle, set up your tree stand, or any hunting regulations.
